A fellow student from my Intro to Judaism class and I attended Shabbat together at Temple Beth Am. Zoey was out of town so it was just us two ladies at a beautiful ceremony honoring two retiring teachers. I ran into someone I knew and she told us she has a place in her heart for converts, Jews by choice. To her parentage wasn’t important, what mattered was whether you were a practicing Jew.
